Dongfeng Motor Group: Revenue rises, ranking improves

In the 2021 Fortune Global 500 list, Dongfeng Motor Group has risen from the 100th place last year to 85th with revenue growth, ranking third among Chinese auto companies after SAIC and FAW.

Dongfeng Motor Group's operating income in 2020 reached US$86.856 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.34%, and its net profit reached US$1.115 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 16%. The increase in operating income was mainly attributable to the sales revenue brought by the increase in the Group's commercial vehicle business, while the auto finance business also showed rapid growth.

According to sales data, Dongfeng Motor Group sold 2.868 million vehicles in 2020, a year-on-year decrease of 2.17%. Among them, 2.31 million passenger vehicles were sold, down 6.09% year-on-year; 550,000 commercial vehicles were sold, up 18.47% year-on-year.
